How we approach it
Testing should move the case forward.
Before recommending bloodwork or imaging, we discuss what we are trying to learn and how the result may change the plan. When a test is unlikely to add useful information, we say so.

Some patients may need referral or advanced imaging. We will discuss that clearly whenever specialty care is the safest next step.
