This Privacy Policy explains how Evans Paw Veterinary Clinic, operated by Alamo Star Veterinary Services PLLC (collectively, “Evans Paw,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our website, submit an appointment inquiry, use an online booking service, communicate with us, or receive veterinary services from us.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Meta lead-form information. Our Meta lead form asks for your full name and phone number. Clinic staff may use this information to contact you and help with your appointment request.
- Website information. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring page, date and time of access, and cookie or advertising identifiers.
- Online booking information. If you continue to DaySmart to request or schedule an appointment, DaySmart may collect the information you enter there, such as your contact information, pet information, requested appointment details, and reason for the visit. DaySmart processes that information under its own privacy practices and makes relevant booking information available to us.
- Communications and clinic records. We may collect information you provide by phone, email, text, in person, or during the course of providing veterinary services, including information about you, your pet, appointments, treatment, payments, and related communications.
How we use information
We may use information to:
- respond to appointment inquiries and help schedule visits;
- communicate about appointments, pet care, and clinic services;
- provide, document, and improve veterinary and client services;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our website;
- measure website use and the effectiveness of our advertising;
- prevent misuse, protect our rights and safety, and resolve disputes; and
- comply with legal, regulatory, accounting, and professional obligations.
Submitting an appointment inquiry does not authorize unrelated marketing. We use Meta lead-form information to follow up on the appointment request unless you separately consent to receive marketing communications.
Service providers and disclosure
We disclose information when reasonably necessary to operate the clinic, respond to your request, provide services, or meet legal obligations. Providers that may receive or process information include:
- Meta. Meta hosts our lead form and provides advertising and measurement services. Meta may process information submitted through its platform and information collected by the Meta Pixel according to Meta’s own terms and privacy policy.
- DaySmart. DaySmart provides our online booking service and processes the information you submit after leaving our website.
- Google. Google provides advertising measurement and conversion-attribution services through the Google Ads tag on our website.
- Website and operational providers. Vendors supporting website hosting, security, communications, records, and other clinic operations may process information only as needed to provide those services.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect patients, clients, staff, the public, or our rights.
Cookies and advertising technology
Our website currently uses the Meta Pixel and a Google Ads tag. These technologies may use cookies or similar identifiers to record page visits, understand how visitors reach and use the site, measure advertising, and attribute actions to ads. Our hosting and security providers may also process technical logs needed to deliver and protect the website. Your browser and the relevant advertising platforms provide controls for cookies and ad preferences. Blocking these technologies may affect measurement but does not remove information already collected.
Retention
We do not apply one fixed retention period to every category of information. We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for appointment follow-up, clinic operations, veterinary and business records, legal or professional obligations, security, and dispute prevention. Retention may vary depending on the type of record and why it was collected.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect personal information, including secure website connections and limiting access to staff and providers with a business need where practicable. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you, or ask us to stop further marketing contact, by contacting us below. We will review and respond to requests as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity, and we may retain information when required for veterinary, legal, accounting, security, or dispute-related purposes.
You can also use the unsubscribe or opt-out instructions included in a marketing message. Opting out of marketing does not stop appointment, treatment, safety, billing, or other service-related communications.
Children’s information
Our website and appointment forms are intended for adults arranging care for animals and are not directed to children. If you believe a child submitted personal information to us, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or privacy practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
